About Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of the ligament in the bottom of the foot. More specifically, the connective tissue, called the plantar fascia, which stretches from the toes across the arch of the foot and inserts into the heel bone, becomes inflamed or tight, causing intense pain.
